Samantha Yancey is a Mississippi-born artist with an affinity for nature, human connection and diverse cultural experiences. Her work has been exhibited internationally and has appeared in several online and print publications. She is currently continuing work on a long-term project titled Leesburg, a collection of images presenting the renewed exploration of Yancey’s Mississippi childhood community, combining remembered experiences with present-day perspectives. She holds an Associates Degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Atlanta (2012) and currently resides with her family in Jackson, Mississippi.
